STEADFAST YEAR ONE:
CREATION—CHRIST

HISTORY & HUMANITIES

Steadfast Year One introduces students to the concept of worldview and to the big philosophical questions of life. Steadfast teaches students to think critically about what they believe and why they believe it, and it steers them toward absolute truth as prescribed in God’s Word in their search for the answers to life’s questions.

The course examines the beginnings of Western Civilization and the worldviews that shaped it, always evaluating them in light of a biblical worldview. Students trace the origins of Judaism and Christianity and see history as a meaningful progression toward the fulfillment of God’s plan.

Studies in Year One include the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, and Rome. Steadfast trains students to discern truth, to think biblically, and to reason soundly.
