Meet the Authors
Steadfast was born out of a need we recognized as we were homeschooling our own children and teaching in a homeschool co-op. We envisioned a curriculum that featured quality writing instruction, inclusion of Great Books, a sequential history spine, a solid biblical worldview, and teacher helps and resources. We felt a high school curriculum should be appropriately challenging yet doable and relevant. We began to pray and felt the Lord leading us to use our individual strengths to team up and write an integrated biblical worldview curriculum. After years of praying, writing and field testing, Steadfast is ready to help you and your students succeed.
Carol S. McCoy, History & Humanities
Carol S. McCoy earned a B.A. in education and a minor in music from Oral Roberts University. It was while attending ORU that Carol was first introduced to the writings of Francis Schaeffer and the concept of looking at history and life through a biblical worldview lens. Carol taught in public schools for seven years before becoming a full-time mom. She then poured her passion for teaching into homeschooling her four children and teaching at a homeschool co-op for more than twenty years. She has a love of music and the arts and has been a private piano instructor for most of her adult life. Her greatest joys are spending time with her husband Mark and their four grown children, their spouses, and her growing brood of grandchildren.
Jennifer Moody Exum, Literature & Composition
Jennifer Moody Exum received her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Baylor University. After teaching in the public school system for over a decade, Jennifer homeschooled her two children for 17 years while teaching at a homeschool co-op that loved stories as much as she does. Steadfast Literature & Composition was inspired by her love of literature and her passion for teaching. Jennifer is Advanced Placement trained for the Language and Literature Exams and participated in the New Jersey Writing Project of Texas. Jennifer still cherishes sharing stories with her three children Emily, Alexander, and his wife Kara.
